Potnapekka
Summer-train Potnapekka (really don't know how to translate ;-) is about to leave to the next tour for fun of children and tourists.
PS. Timo kindly helped with the translation problem: Potnapekka means a certain stonefly (hankikorri in Finnish, Taeniopteryx nebulosa in latin) species that arises early in the spring from river (Oulujoki). The word is specific to Oulu dialect. This train-bus does not resemble the insect at all, though :)
Kesäjuna Potnapekka lähdössä seuraavalle kierrokselle lasten ja turistien riemuksi.

ReplyDeleteThank you very much Timo! I hope you dont mind if I copy-paste your comment in the picture text too.
ReplyDeleteI'm not native but lived here only 15 years so there is a lot I don't know ;-)
This is a lovely photo of a street scene.
