Old flour mill - Vanha mylly

Evening walk continues to the back yard of quite familiar building. Image is artistically tilted because I used a bike saddle as a tripod. It's also HDR image (high dynamic range, combined of 3 differently exposed shots by using certain program) turned b/w and colorised. Just for fun.

Iltakävely jatkuu tutun rakennuksen takapihalle. Kuva on taiteellisesti vinossa koska käytin pyörän satulaa jalustana. Kuva on myös HDR ("high dynamic range" eli kolmesta eri valotuksesta, tarkoitusta varten tehdyllä ohjelmalla koottu kuva) muokattu mustavalkoiseksi ja vielä sävytetty. Ihan vain huvin vuoksi.

Toppila harbour - Toppilan möljä

Evening walk and photo shooting in darkness at other side of the strait of Toppila. Because of a bit foggy weather colour of the sky was ugly yellowish I turned this one to b/w.

Iltakävelyllä ja kuvaamassa pimeässä Toppilan salmen toisella puolella. Hieman sumuisesta säästä johtuen taivas oli oikein ikävän sinapin keltainen kuvassa joten tein siitä mustavalkoisen.

Graffiti Sunday - Grafittisunnuntai 2

Having a graffiti as a theme I really should have started with this one, paska kaupunni is probably the oldest existing graffiti in Oulu. One friend of mine think that it's made first time at 80's. I got 894 hits from Google with the words "paska kaupunni".
Oulu wiki tells: "Paska kaupunni means "shitty city" with the word kaupunni ("kaupunki") misspelt to make it sound like the local dialect, and is probably a reference to a song by Oulu-born Finnish rock musician and author Kauko Röyhkä."

Kun aiheena on grafitti minun olisi pitänyt aloittaa tällä, paska kaupunni on luultavasti Oulun vanhin olemassa oleva grafitti. Muuan ystäväni muistelee että se olisi tehty jo joskus 80-luvulla. Sain Googlesta 894 osumaa sanoilla "paska kaupunni".

Julia and Romeo

Yes, pyramids of Oulu are called Julia and Romeo, they are part of botanical garden of University of Oulu.
Inspiration to take this photo I got from Sydney.

Kyllä, Oulun pyramidit ovat Julia ja Romeo, ne ovat osa Oulun yliopiston kasvitieteellistä puutarhaa.
Inspiraation tähän kuvaan sain Sydneystä.

I shot this at 00.18 last night when we were out for taking some panoramic photos. I think it looks like somehow Finnish-Japanese view. I turned it to b/w because of using flash the colors were quite odd.
