Dark times - Pimeitä aikoja

In Oulu sun riced today at 9:54 AM and set at 2:21 PM, so in our latitudes light time per day at this time of year is about 4 hours. Except when it is cloudy and we have 3 hours dim between morning darkness and afternoon darkness. Today was again one of those dim days and I wasn't mood to go out with camera, so this photo is from last Tuesday when sun was shining at least few moments.

Aurinko nousi tänään Oulussa 9.54 ja laski 14.21. Näillä leveysasteilla valoisa aika on tähän iakaan vuodesta noin neljä tuntia, paitsi pilvisellä säällä kun on kolmisen tuntia hämärää aamupimeyden ja iltapäiväpimeyden välissä. Tänään olin jälleen yksi noista hämäristä päivistä eikä kuvaaminen oikein innostanut niinpä päivän kuva on viimei tiistailta kun aurinko paistoi edes hetkisen.

Foggy afternoon in Vaakunakylä boat harbour few weeks ago.
(I was going to shoot a new photo for today but at downtown I noticed that my faithful little camera was left at home in other bag, pöh)

Sumuinen iltapäivä Vaakunakylän venesatamassa muutama viikko sitten.
(piti kyllä kuvata ihan uusi kuva tällekin päivää mutta kaupungilla huomasin että uskollinen pikkukamerani oli jäänyt kotiin toiseen laukkuun, pöh)

At the back yard of a familiar building. Weather was just freezing today, -12 C and quite hard wind too.

Tutun rakennuksen takapihalla. Ilma oli tänään hyytävä, - 12 C ja aika kova tuuli.

Fog at the Straits of Toppila - Sumua Toppilansalmessa

After being clear and bright whole day, the fog suddenly dimmed landscape at afternoon.

Koko päivän on ollut kirkasta ja aurinkoista mutta iltapäivällä sumu himmensi aivan yhtäkkiä maiseman .

I begin to wonder what kind is the yesterday scenery without a fog. So I went and shoot this as today's photo. This neighbourhood is a former harbour area and red brick building and white bulding further has been a flour-mills.

This morning was foggy and calm, so the view at strait near by was quite a dreamy.
