Hepatica Nobilis - Sinivuokko

This little flower is pretty rare this far north but I know one place where they grow. There has been a garden ages ago and this hepatica is what is left of it.

Sinivuokot eivät ole kovin yleisiä näillä leveysasteilla, tämäkin kukkii paikassa missä on joskus ollut puutarha.

On this morning we had 5 degrees below zero and a thin layer of snow.

Villa Hannala

This wooden villa was built in 1857 to be a summerhouse for commercial counsellor and ship-owner J.W. Snellman and his family. Now it's under renovation. After finished, there is going to be a cafe and schooling and meeting facilities. (and hopefully a little bar too ;-) because this house is just in neighbourhood)

Tämä puuhuvila rakennettin 1857 kesäpaikaksi kauppaneuvos ja laivanvarustaja J.W. Snelmannille ja hänen perheelleen. Nyt sitä remontoidaan ja saneerataan. Valmistumisen jälkeen siinä tullee olemaan kahvila sekä koulutus ja kokoustiloja. (ja toivottavasti vaikka pieni baari ;-) koska talo on aivan naapurissamme)
